Privacy Policy
Effective 18 August 2026 · Cythentic, Inc.
This policy covers Remi™ and the Personal Cyber Score, provided by Cythentic, Inc. Remi asks you about your security habits, so the answers are personal by definition. This page says plainly what is collected, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not show advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. Remi itself contains no advertising or analytics trackers of any kind. Our public web pages use Google Analytics to count visits, described in sections 3 and 4. The app you sign in to does not.
1. Who you are dealing with
Cythentic, Inc.
6230 Irvine Blvd #160, Irvine, CA 92620
corey@cythentic.com
For privacy questions, email the address above. A person reads it.
2. What we collect
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address, and your first name if you give it | To sign you in, to save your progress against your account, and to send you the results and reminders you ask for. Signing in uses a link emailed to you rather than a password. |
| Your answers to the Personal Cyber Score questions, your score, your band, and your per-chapter scores | To produce your score, decide which fixes to show you first, and let you pick up where you left off. |
| What you type to Remi in the chat | To answer you. See section 3 for who processes it. |
| Purchase records: which product you bought and when | To give you the access you paid for. Card details never reach us. See section 3. |
| A device notification token, only if you turn on reminders in the app | To send the reminder you asked for. Turning off notifications stops it. |
Remi does not ask for, and has no use for, your passwords, your account credentials, your card numbers, or your government identifiers. Never send them to Remi. If you paste one into the chat by accident, email us and we will remove it.
3. Who else sees it
Remi is a small product built on a few well-known services. Each one sees only what it needs.
| Service | What it receives |
|---|---|
| Anthropic (the AI model behind Remi) | The messages in your conversation, so Remi can reply. Do not paste secrets into any AI chat, including this one. |
| Stripe (payments) | Your email and payment details, entered on Stripe's own checkout page. Your card number is never sent to us and we never store it. Stripe acts as merchant of record for these sales and handles the related tax. |
| Resend (email delivery) | Your email address and the contents of the messages we send you, such as your sign-in link and your results. |
| Netlify (hosting and storage) | Hosts the service and stores the data described in section 2. |
| Apple (only if you use the iOS app and enable reminders) | Delivers push notifications to your device. |
| Google Analytics (visitor counts on our public web pages only) | That a page on cythentic.com was viewed, along with the usual coarse details a browser sends: approximate location from your IP address, device type, and the site that referred you. It is not used inside Remi, it is never joined to your account or your answers, and we have turned off Google Signals and user-provided data collection, so it is not used for advertising. |
We do not share your information with anyone else, and we do not sell it. If we are ever legally compelled to disclose something, we will tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.
4. Cookies
Remi sets one cookie for ordinary visitors: a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in after you click your emailed link. It is marked httpOnly, so scripts on the page cannot read it. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers in Remi.
Our public web pages at cythentic.com set Google Analytics cookies (names beginning _ga) so we can count visits and see which pages people read. They do not identify you by name and they are not used for advertising. If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and most browsers can block these cookies in their own settings.
5. How long we keep it
Your account and your scores are kept while your account exists, because lifetime access means you can come back years later and find your progress. Ask us to delete it and we will, in full.
6. Your choices
- See what we hold. Email us and we will send you your record.
- Delete it. Email us and we will delete your account and everything attached to it. If you have bought lifetime access, deleting your data also ends that access, because there is no longer an account to attach it to.
- Correct it. Retake the assessment at any time, or email us.
- Stop the email. We send very little: a sign-in link, only when you ask for one; a short welcome message after you buy; the reminders you schedule yourself; and, if you choose to save your scorecard result with your email, that result plus up to three short follow-ups about it. Every follow-up carries an unsubscribe link that works in one click. There is no newsletter, and we never email people who did not give us their address.
- Stop notifications. Turn them off in your device settings, or in the app.
If you are in California, the EU or the UK, you have rights over your personal information under your local law, including access, correction, deletion and portability. Exercise them by emailing us. We will not treat you differently for asking.
7. Children
Remi is written for adults protecting a household, and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from a child under 13. Chapters about protecting children are for the adult to work through; do not create an account for a child. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
8. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Sign-in uses a short-lived emailed link rather than a stored password, so there is no password of yours for us to lose. Administrative access requires a second factor.
No service can promise it will never be breached, and a security company claiming otherwise should not be trusted. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you what happened, what it means for you, and what to do about it.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who receives it, we will change the effective date above and, for material changes, tell account holders by email.
